This is an indisputable NOS as the sticker at the caseback is still intact. This watch is by Shanghai Department Store. It sounds quite unusual that a department store would produce watches. My guess is that the department store whilst selling watches of various manufacturers, it also offered its own watch, or the so called home brand in today's term.
Being a department store, it was unlikely that Shanghai Department Store would have the capacity in manufacturing; it must have therefore made arrangement with a watch factory proper to produce watches under its own brand name Dongbao. Since the movement is marked with "ZLN" which is the factory code for Liaoning Watch Factory, it was highly likely that the department store engaged the factory for this production.
The logo is a stylish DB and the same is also stamped on the crown. Above six o'clock marker, there is "ZHONG GUO ZHI ZHAO" (中国制造) or "Made in China" in English. So far, this is the second collection that labelling so (the first is Tianjin Sea-gull ST5A and ST5B) others were either "China Made" or combination of China and the city, such as "Zhongguo Beijing".
